Machine Operator – Sports Fields | Kaimahi Mīhini - Ngā Papa Hākinakina - Ngā Papa Hākinakina

About the role
You will be part of the team that maintains the grass and surrounds on our sportsfields to have them looking good for our community’s sport.
This role will have you working throughout the city on all our sportsfields.
You will be working in a team:
- maintaining grass surrounds of our sportsfields and high-profile parks
- completing field layout and line marking
- caring for hard surfaces
- setting up flags, goal posts and pads
- ensuring our sportsfields are well presented and tidy
We have 2 fixed-term roles available until 20 October 2026.
About you
It would be fabulous if you have experience working outdoors and some knowledge of small plant. You might have some knowledge in aspects of turf management but you will definitely be willing to learn.
You’ll need to show us that you:
- are self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- follow processes and will maintain and keep our equipment maintained & clean
