Senior Event Crew


At Te Rauparaha Arena we provide the city with a world class facility catering for events ranging from sporting events, conferences, concerts and dinners. We are a seven day a week facility that hosts people from around the country and around the world. Sometimes you may even catch a glimpse of the occasional celebrity.

All about the job

As Senior Event Crew, you’ll help lead the team to plan and set up the facilities required for the various bookings and events at Te Rauparaha Arena.

In this role you will:

  • work in a busy events environment planning and completing the set up and pack down for events
  • work closely with our Event Coordinators and event organisers to organise the staging and delivery of events
  • taking the lead for problem solving issues as they arise, and ensuring plans are met
  • be physically active and work at a fast paced doing things like setting up staging and carpeting for a concert, sports equipment for a tournament or gymnastics gear for classes
  • often working evenings and weekends as needed for events, your hours of work will be rostered in advance.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar physically demanding role or someone who will be dedicated to learn this intense role. We will provide you with a fun, engaging and hardworking, supportive team. The hours of work will vary each week.

You’ll need to show us that you:

  • have excellent communication skills and enjoy building strong client relationships
  • are physically fit and like being ‘hands on’
  • are you reliable, customer focused and able to use your initiative
  • have a clean, full driver’s license
  • enjoy working under pressure to tight timeframes
  • enjoy working in a hardworking team environment

As this is a safety sensitive role, all successful applicants will complete a pre-employment drug test.
