Project Manager Parks | Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa (Ngā Pāka)

About the role

We are looking for a project manager who has proven skills and experience in the project management span of disciplines, carrying out planning, scoping, procurement, construction, completion and handover.

In this role you will:

  • plan, manage and deliver parks capital construction projects and initiatives
  • support the implementation of the Asset Management Plan considering levels of service and provision of leisure assets within Council’s reserves and open space network
  • ensure projects meet the councils annual and long term plan, and methodologies, policies and practices

About you

You’ll be a straight thinker who builds excellent relationships with stakeholders and really understands customer service. We always put the customer at the centre of our thinking, so we need smart people who are innovative and want to make things better. You’ll really appreciate the opportunity to build on your skills in an up-and-coming growth council and use your experience to improve the way we work.

You’ll needs to show us that you:

  • have experience leading projects following a recognised methodology
  • have experience working in parks and open spaces, or small construction projects
  • are skilled at managing budgets for projects and following set procurement processes
