Mobile Groundsperson - Turf | Kaitiaki Pāka ā-Rohe

About the role

This role will embrace your turf maintenance expertise with your eye for detail to keep our sports surfaces throughout the city in excellent condition for our community’s sport.

You will be part of the team that is responsible for:

• Maintaining all designated turf and other sports surfaces to a high standard
• Marking out fields for various sporting codes
• Preparing and maintaining the turf cricket wickets
• Ensuring pavilions, toilets and surrounds are clean and tidy

About you

It would be fabulous if you have experience working with a range of machinery. You will have some turf qualifications and definitely be willing to learn and develop your skills. You’ll need to show us that you:

• have previous experience in sports turf maintenance
• have a clean Class 2 driver’s licence
• are self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• follow processes and will maintain and keep our equipment clean
• The ability to meet the physical demands of this role
