Machine Operator – Turf / Kaimahi Mīhini - Pātītī

About the role
This role will embrace your machinery and small plant expertise with your eye for detail. You will be part of the team that maintains all turf areas to have them looking good for our community.
You will be responsible for:
- mowing and/or maintaining designated turf areas around Porirua City
- ensuring our sportsfields are well presented and tidy
- following a scheduled mowing run
- caring for and maintaining equipment
About you
It would be fabulous if you have experience working with a range of small plant, machinery and ride on mowers or tractors. You might have some knowledge in aspects of turf management but you will definitely be willing to learn and work towards a qualification.
You’ll need to show us that you:
- have a clean, full, and unrestricted driver’s licence
- have previous experience with ride on mowers or tractors
- are self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- can work as part of a hardworking team
- follow processes and will maintain and keep our ride-on mower & gear clean
- will take pride in keeping Porirua looking good for our community.
